Artist Interview With Tatiana Roulin

Today’s Artist Interview Is With Tatiana Roulin From Sharon, MA – In The Boston Area.
Whopple: How long have you been an artist?
Tatiana: I have been an artist professionally for more than 10 years.
Whopple: Tell us about your first attempts to be creative.
Tatiana: I have always been creative since my childhood but from all projects I realized I still remember one more vividly. In the middle school we had intensive art classes. I was very good at completing all art projects and my teacher was very pleased with me so as a result I got selected to decorate a lunchroom in our school. My task was to paint ancient symbols and creatures from Russian ancient legends on wood using ink and mineral colors. It was very interesting and captivating project. All in all I painted around 50 wooden boards, approximately 12″X16″ size. There were boards with Sirins (read about Sirin here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sirin), lions, mermaids and also boards with elements of spinning-wheel’s designs I transferred on boards. I was working on this project for the whole summer and when I finished it my art teacher was very proud of me along with my whole class and my parents. After that I thought I would definitely become an artist.
