Today’s Artist Interview Is With Lauren Luna From Columbus, Ohio.
Whopple: How long have you been an artist?
Lauren: Since I was 6 or 7.
Whopple: Tell us about your first attempts to be creative.
Lauren: I remember taking art classes at the local recreation center when I was five. I also remember my mother, who was an avid gardener digging in her garden and our area has a lot of clay. When she would dig up clumps of clay I would sculpt things from it; ashtrays for my grandfather, bowls, etc. I believe I was 6 or 7.
