Whopple: What are your inspirations?
Margaret:
All my paintings come from drawings that I do loosely with a pen. I never know what will inspire me to do a drawing; it could be a line or a shape or a gesture or a mood. But when I get a a strong drawing, that is what will inspire me to do a painting.

Whopple: How do you recharge when your creativity hits the wall?
Margaret:
I just do more drawings. And, I run.

Whopple: What gives you hope in the world?
Margaret:
Everything, from my children to wonderful friendships to exciting things to look forward to. There’s is always another opportunity and another moment to create, to receive, to give, to achieve. Life is great!

Whopple: What do you wish you could do?
Margaret: With my career, I would like to produce pieces that are publicly displayed in cultural centers in culturally sophisticated cities all over the world. With my children, I would like to give them whatever they could possibly want in this world and with the world, I would like to give back to people less fortunate by supplying the tools and offering lessons in art to poor people who otherwise never could enjoy something so basic and enriching and fulfilling.

Whopple: What are your artistic goals?
Margaret:
Other than the large, public exposure I have just mentioned, I would like my artwork to be widely known and for my efforts to be revered and sought after. I feel like I am supplying the world with something of value and I want that just to keep on growing.
