Today’s Artist Interview Is With Ching Teoh From Malaysia

Whopple: How long have you been an artist?
Ching: It was 5 years ago that I started to be a fulltime artist. Since my younger days, I have admired beautiful things and have loved to create.

Whopple: Tell us about your first attempts to be creative.
Ching: My first attempts were during my schooling days, when my teacher assigned an art project. We were to create an art piece showing the Malaysian embracing different cultures. My team members were not interested in art. So, I was the only one who completed the whole project. I enjoyed every minutes of the creation. Since then, I love painting.

Whopple: How long does it take you to come up with your ideas?
Ching: Well, I would say, my mind is random. Many times, ideas come just in second and I then I will start sketching and painting.
