Today’s Artist Interview Is With Adriano F. Manocchia From Cambridge, NY.

Whopple: How long have you been an artist?
Adriano: 26 years.

Whopple: Tell us about your first attempts to be creative. Adriano: As a teenager I started experimenting with photography which soon became not only a passion but my first means of income.
As a photo journalist, I was able to train my eye to composition and color.

Whopple: Do you make a living with your art?
Adriano: Yes.

Whopple: How many hours a day do you create?
Adriano: 6-8

Whopple: How did you pick your creative medium?
Adriano: After experimenting with different mediums I felt that oil painting was the best way to express my creativity.

Whopple: What are your inspirations?
Adriano: Nature.

Whopple: How do you recharge when your creativity hits the wall?
Adriano: Go fly fishing.

Whopple: What was your first job?
Adriano: Photo Journalist.

Whopple: What are your favorite snacks when you are creating? Adriano: I usually feast on my wife excellent baking and cafe mochas, or if nothing else is available I settle for M&Ms; and pretzels…

Whopple: What gives you hope in the world?
Adriano: My wife and son.

Adriano: Be a test driver for Ferrari.

Whopple: What are your artistic goals?
Adriano: Having my work hanging at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Whopple: What has been your most exciting moment as an artist?
Adriano: The moment I realized that art collectors started requesting my paintings.
